Here is what I wore... that's all.
Oh, and I also got some really nice bracelets and borrowed a cute scarf from my step mom...I used it as a waist-cincher for this particular outfit. It's a super suddle mix of steps, ya know?

(Vest, Urbanoutfits. Tank, the Limited. Flower tank, Banana Republic. Jean shorts, Levis. Gladiators, Kohl's. Bangles, Vintage. Scarf, Given. Necklace, Urbanoutfitters.)

I was tagged the other day by Madame Dior, but since I am quite new to blogging I do not know what to do...once I find out, I'll definately do it. Thanks :)

So Many Smiles... So Little Time

I had to add these two images to this entry... I don't think I have seen MK smile so much in my life...I must say, I like it better. Perhaps her grin is testament to her incredible bohemian outfits... or could it be her new film, The Wackness...

Flying High...

I was just roaming the blog-o-sphere when I happily stumbled across this post from Flight of Phancy. I, along with many other bloggers were featured in an Inspiration Post, it made me truely happy. Thought I would share the post with others and let people know about this cool new blog.

From Left to Right: Fashion is Poison, Style Du Monde, Avenue A, Ragamala, Leposaurus Rex, That's Chic, Belle Chantelle, Cupcakes and Cashmere

Thanks again, Flight of Phancy :)

The Row

I just thought I would post one of my favorite clothes commercials: The Row Holiday Collection... can anyone say V-E-R-S-A-T-I-L-E (that's 'versatile' for those who were thrown off by the dashes lol). Just kidding, I won't insult you like that. Forgive me?
If my closet was comprised of these peices alone, I would be set for life.

Sorry about the sub-par picture quality.

Stained Cobalt

In 1802, Louis Jacques Thénard, a French chemist discovered a color so glorious, so vibrant it burned the retinas of all the Parisian townspeople in that time period. Okay, so that didn't really happen, but he really did unearth one of the most majestic colors the world (more like I) have ever seen... Cobalt blue. I will spare you all with the boring details of how he found this color... frankly because I didn't feel like reading any more of (yes ladies and gentlemen, wikipedia can be a reliable source of information). So here is where I pay hommage to the Christopher Columbus, the Ponce de Leon of colors... Louis Jacques Thénard. Thank you sir, thank you for discovering cobalt, so that women and men everywhere can wear a color that dazzles as much as wearer does(corny, but true)!

Anyways, back to earth. Today, I went thrifting with one of my dearest friends, Holly and found a fantastic leather envelope-style clutch! It's 100% real leather and was imported from Italy (ahh, brilliant)! I scooped it up immediately. Yay to cobalt and yay to vintage purses! O and I had to wear my yellow gladiators... I think it suited the shape of the dress. It draped beautifully when I belted it... it had a casual Grecian feel that felt perfect for the summer.

(Tank, the Limited. Blue dress, Old Navy. Leather Belt, Vintage. Gladiators, Urban Thread. Clutch, Vintage. Vine Ring, Dillards.)

Oh, and I have just realized that I am obsessed and can't stop wearing my yellow gladiators and Old Navy wedges. Trust me, I own more shoes than that lol.

Thanks again for all your comments on all my previous posts :)

Less is More

Forgive my absence, for it has been entirely too long since I have submitted an entry on my blog. I have been working and taking a summer math class to get ahead... yes, I am an overachiever and acknowledgement is the first step to recovery.
A lot of my favorite Resort Collections 2009 focused on minimalism with few key accessories (shoes, jewelry, and/or belts).
EX) Doo. Ri, Jason Wu, Alexander Wang, Jenni Kayne
This outfit below was definitely one of my favorites: Simple, but super chic:

(Jenni Kayne Collection,

And this is how I interpreted it (structured shorts and shoes, easy shirt and jacket):

(Jacket, Urbanoutfitters. Tank, Banana Republic. Scarf, Vintage. Shorts, Anne Taylor. Wedges, Gianni Bini. Purse, One Thousand Little Steps. Teal Ring, Gift.)

P.S. Thanks for all your comments on my previous post... they all made my day that much brighter :D

Treasures of Lost...

Inspired by today's Fashion Blanket's blog entry (, I decided to gather all my bravery and rummage through my closet (and eventually my step-mom's and brother's). I mean why not right? Jennifer (from fashion blanket) found a great jean dress in her's. I left her the comment, and I quote [myself] lol:
"closet digging is quite the sport... good can only come from it. One can A. find buried treasures of lost or B. relieve themselves of a painful history (outfit) lol in this particular case you have uncovered a gem!"
I might as well live by my own words, eh?And I must say, I found a few gems! In my step mom's closet, I found a great gray voluminous mini-skirt and in my brother's closet I uncovered an amazing black blazer that he, to my great delight, has grown out of (yay)! All of the other pieces in the following photographs are mine... and with a little luck and elbow grease I was able to come up with an three outfits (minor variances in the outwear) that I am quite proud of!

Unfortunately, I took photos that I am not proud of hah!
My usual photographer, my 11 year old brother was MIA! :(

(Tank, Old Navy. Skirt, Gianni Bini. Tights, Target. Wedges, Old Navy.)

Variance: (Black Vest, Urbanoutfitters.)

Variance: (Black Blazer, Brother's Closet... not a brand, but literally hehe)
I also bought an amazing pant romper with suspenders...sounds weird, but its cute I promise! I'll post the picks as soon as I wear it.

'Cause You Were All Yellow...

I don't know what it is, perhaps it is the undeniable presence of summer, but I have been positively mesmerized by the color yellow. I spotted these pants from miles away and without thinking I ran, neh I sprinted towards them. O yellow pants, have I done you justice?

(Blank tank, Banana Republic. Ombre tank, Urbanoutfitters. Green Belt, Gap. Yellow Pant, Gap. Yellow Sandals, Urban Thread. Brown Bag, One Thousand Little Steps. Peace Sign Mood Ring, Lucky Brand. Vine Ring, Dillards.)
