Big Day...
November 4, 2008
Dear Diary,
Here is what I wore a few days ago but now for more important matters. For the first time in my life, as a 20 year old, well informed (I might add) woman, I voted in the United States presidential elections. It was incredible to know that all american voters hold the fate of the presidential nominees. History is in the making in so many ways.
"Americans are voting in one of the most historic U.S.
elections. Democrat Barack Obama could become the first African-American
president. Republican John McCain could become the oldest president elected to a
first term. Sarah Palin could become the first woman elected vice president.
Record voter turnout also is predicted. "

I know most individuals don't publicize who they voted for, but I'm not most individuals. So I will proudly say who I gave my vote for and why. I voted for Barack Obama not just because he could potentially be the first (mixed) African and White-American to hold the presidential position but because of what he respresents. Barack Obama represnts a new wave of politicans whose focus lies on the people. He represents the unification of the different races around the world. This hope for unification between the people made tangible by the mixture of his skin color. He stands for the rights and political freedoms of the people. He is a beacon of hope for a world starving for it.
Good luck Barack Obama and Joe Biden!

Jean on Jean Action
Style can be either one or two things: Simple or Complicated. Each can be complex in very different ways and each can be extradinarily beautiful. When pertaining to my style though, I perfer to keep it simple. Less is more in my book, yet that does not mean I am not inspired or in love with the more complicated looks that I have seen. It's all beauty to me...
Anywho, I'm usually not a big fan of the "jean on jean" look, but today I could not resist. I hadn't worn my 70's inspired vest in a while so I thought I would take it out for a spin (check out the back of my vest...too cool hehe). . .So I paired it with some cigarette jeans and called it a day :)
Question: Again, I'm wearing my new favorite shoes, but I am unsure as to what to call them... gladiators or bandage style sandals? I mean, it really does not matter too much, but I've been wondering hehe

Romp[er] Roast

Oh yes. I have found my summer romper and wore it on a beautiful rainy day. Have I ever mentioned that I love love love the rain. All week long we have a had a mid-day shower and I have enjoyed every moment of it.
Oh and I dont know if you have noticed but my faux bob is no longer faux... it is quite actual. I cut 4 inches off last friday! It is so easy... I wake up and I go. I should have cut it like this ages ago...
Better late than ever

Hello,
Here is what I wore... that's all.
Oh, and I also got some really nice bracelets and borrowed a cute scarf from my step mom...I used it as a waist-cincher for this particular outfit. It's a super suddle mix of patterns...baby steps, ya know?

(Vest, Urbanoutfits. Tank, the Limited. Flower tank, Banana Republic. Jean shorts, Levis. Gladiators, Kohl's. Bangles, Vintage. Scarf, Given. Necklace, Urbanoutfitters.)

P.S.
I was tagged the other day by Madame Dior, but since I am quite new to blogging I do not know what to do...once I find out, I'll definately do it. Thanks :)

So Many Smiles... So Little Time
I had to add these two images to this entry... I don't think I have seen MK smile so much in my life...I must say, I like it better. Perhaps her grin is testament to her incredible bohemian outfits... or could it be her new film, The Wackness...

5.29.2008
(Vest, vintage. Organic Tank, H&M. Tights, F21. Black Wedges, One Thousand Little Steps. Yellow sandals, Urban Thread. Metal necklace, Urbanoutfitters. Faux Pearls, vintage.)
The afternoon was longer than I had expected so I decided a few days ago, 5.24.2008 (to be quite exact) I will start my fashion blog. I see so many doing it on some of my favorites. Summer could not have come at a better time, though I always find it harder to try to be stylish in the stifling Florida heat. All you ever want to do is just throw on a tank and shorts and call it a day. But this summer, I will turn a new leaf...
The vest has an amazing criss-cross detail on the back! I had never seen anything like it, brings out a 70's vibe.
You probably notice that I have two kinds of shoes on (ignore the feet haha), I just couldn't decide. Yet in the end, I went with a bright pop of color... What do you think?
