Marni for HM

(source :: youtube.com)

Nobody is more excited about the Marni collaboration with H&M more than I am. I have watched her collections evolve over the years without abandoning her extremely precise sense of style and expression. Can't wait to see it all.

Pretty Little Things II

(source :: google)

Here are a few of  my favorite things...
Color palette, hints of graphics, and simple geometric shapes.

Katie Ermilio

Saw this collection online the other day. It was so sweet and lady-like I had to mark it. I love the details on the back. Look at the little peek of jewelry in the pink dress. Swooooonnnn.

Idyllic Life :: Lucy Chadwick

This video has been circulating around the blog-o-sphere like wild fire and I finally sat down to watch it (as if my day is so busy I can't make space for a six minute video) lol. She literally is living my idyllic life. I have drawn ever since I could hold a pencil and I studied architecture in undergrad so it kind of goes without saying that I would love nothing more than to occupy the space between art, fashion and architecture and live a simple half-urban-half country life like she does... to have someone that loves reconstructing old homes just as much as I do. Granted, I haven't reconstructed/renovated an old home before... what do you want I'm only 23 lol. Hopefully, I will. I know I will.

Varsity Blues

Has anyone else noticed the wave of varsity jackets rolling in on the blog-o-sphere or is it just me? Regardless, I have always loved this kind of jacket super easy yet packed with loads of timeless style (even though its screams 1950's sock-hop its still extra timeless).

I had a chance to buy one at a vintage shop in Chelsea, NY during fashion week and I didn't. I know... I'm a moron lol. Oh well, if its meant to be I'll run into another one and scoop it up like a slice of chocolate cake, without a moments hesitation. You'll be mine varsity jacket... you'll be mine.

Black on White :: White on Black

Firstly, I need to pledge my allegiance to Garance Dore. She takes such amazing portraits.

Love the black on white tones. Minimal graphic or pattern mixing here. Its just straight tone on tone. I've been seeing a lot of black walls in apartments and homes and I absolutely love it. Although I's love to the see the dimensions of the rooms with black walls. If you don't have a large room or massive windows to let in light, it would probably be a bit of a drag.

Secondly, I pledge my allegiance to Scott Schuman. Is it possible for me to claim dual citizenship here lol.

Anywho... The photo above is one of my all time favorites. The outfit is just perfectly perfect with a touch of bright color. That being said its easy to see the relationship between the outfit and the spaces. Graphic with pops of color. That chandelier looks like a computer model right before it renders. I'm an architecture nerd clearly.

Turn Back the Clock :: Fall Inspo 2011

(source :: theavenuea.blogspot.com)

Fall is among us. Personally, its my favorite part of the year. The weather is crisp with a hint of winter air. Of course where I live the weather remains in the low 70's perfect enough for a a layer or two which forces you to keep your style pretty simple emphasis on accessories like a great scarf, bag, scarf and a great laugh (ok ok I'm a cornball lol). But seriously, take note friends. Love this look.

I'm not sure if I am afraid of this trend or far too mesmerized, either way its kind of bad ass.

Acrylic on Flesh

This might be one of the craziest art installations I have ever seen by far. The artist, Alexa Meade paints on flesh and clothes. Can you even believe that?! My brain cannot even process that this is a true event. This might be something I might have to see to believe. So. Crazy.

For more craziness... peep the below link lol

Trending :: Seeing Red

(source :: theavenuea.blogspot.com, grazia.com, vogue.com)

Red and pink were everywhere during fashion month 2011. Such fun and whimsical looks. The good thing about red and pink is that every one and their mom can wear these colors no matter what the complexion.  Here are a few of some of my favorite looks from the that particular street style season.

p.s. :: sorry about the inconsistent blogging. i'm currently in the process of making major/influential life decisions. :)

Home Sweet Home :: Devon Radziwill

(source:: Vogue.com)

Me-Oh-My! If there is any fault in this apartment I surely can't find it. It's so lovely from the (what appears to be) fresh flowers, brick interior walls, mix-matched yet clean-lined furniture, large windows revealing hints of the nearby urban context to the sweet pool table in the family room. Swoon... Swoon....and more Swoooooooon

DIY :: Sweet Deck Bra'

I think it's safe to say that we all know the prints/patterns that debuted from Celine last season; Kanye rocked it on stage, I saw blog after blog after blog post about them lol, at at one point I saw them so much I felt like I even owned the damn thing. So now, I'll contribute to the free Celine press and post this. Look down beloooooowwww

(source :: coco+kelley)

Now it wouldn't be right if i didn't give credit to the genius behind these sweet decks (does the skateboard talk seem authentic lol? Heck no lol. I don't skate, although I wish I knew how), but I digress, back to the genius... Jayne of Stop It Right Now. If you want one, just ask her. If you don't skate it would make for some badass wall art.

Things Organized Neatly

My friend showed me this blog, Things Organized Neatly, a few weeks ago and I instantly fell in love.These images explore the relationships within and between any given construct. Through deconstruction, we are able to begin the process of understanding how objects function and define us as individuals or a unit.

Blah blah blahhh
Besides all that, the images just look plain cool.

Burberry Prorsum Spring 2012

(source:: Vogue.com and GaranceDore.fr/en)

The Burberry Prorsum Spring 2012 collection personified perfection in its juxtaposition between sportswear and ladylike attire. This line in particular was the perfect blend of tribal elements and western motifs all while referencing its long standing tradition of classic, sartorial elegance.

Where's Waldo:: Peep Kanye West in the front row lol.
