Come dine with me...

(source :: www.dustjacketattic.blogspot.com)

Let's dine, let's dine a away...

Currently, in the process of helping to renovate my boyfriend's (almost) 70 year old cottage style home (say that three times fast). We have done a lot of the demo and reconstruction ourselves and I can't wait to start to fill it with pretty things. He doesn't know yet... but I'm filling it with pretty things lol

Bess Friday San Fran Loft

This is Bess' (from BessFriday.com) San Francisco loft. I'm always a fan of exposed ceilings, brick walls and as much as I love light drenched-white walls, I'm also a super fan of the black accent walls. Love the rustic textures mixed with simplistic geometric furniture.

Banana Stuffed French Toast

Yum Yum Yum Yum. Saw this recipe on Style Crusader and had to try it and this morning I finally did. It was absolutely delicious and super easy. Takes almost no time at all and what is best about the recipe is that you can change what you choose to stuff the french toast with. I think apples would taste amazing in the center of this bad boy. Maybe even strawberries...

Ingredients (for one person):

  • 1/2 of a banana
  • 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1/2 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of pecan nuts (I'm not a huge fan of nuts, but hey go for it)
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tablespoon of milk for the egg mix
  • 1/2 tablespoon of powdered sugar

Directions:

Dice banana into thin slices and mix in the cinnamon, vanilla, honey and pecan nuts together. Mix the egg and milk together in a separate bowl. Dip one side of each bread slice into the egg mixture then place on the buttered skillet (heat on medium). Make sure the middle of the sandwich stays dry. Spoon out the banana mixture onto the one slice of bread and fry until outside is golden brown.

Miroslava Duma pt. deux

WARNING :: Long post ahead lol. And no I didn't plan this excessive posting of Ms. Duma. I stumbled upon these photos and had to post them. Looks like Miroslava and Tommy Ton teamed up in Dubai for the ultimate mash-up. It seems like they teamed up for a Spring + Summer advertising campaign for the boutique, Symphony. I think it's pretty clear what colors I fancy (yes, I said fancy and no, I'm not British). Bright, bright, bright highlighter hues I don't think will ever get old. Peep this below:

Feels like summer, no?

J. Crew Collection Spring 2012

(source :: Jcrew)

I'll forever be a J. Crew fan as long as Jenna Lyon is at the helm. Highlighter colors make me so happy. That green pencil skirt is the bees knees... don't ya think?
