Jean on Jean Action

(Tank, Gap. Vest, Vintage. Jeans, Express. Sandals, Urbanoutfitters. Bangles, Vintage. Clutch, Vintage.)

Style can be either one or two things: Simple or Complicated. Each can be complex in very different ways and each can be extradinarily beautiful. When pertaining to my style though, I perfer to keep it simple. Less is more in my book, yet that does not mean I am not inspired or in love with the more complicated looks that I have seen. It's all beauty to me...

Anywho, I'm usually not a big fan of the "jean on jean" look, but today I could not resist. I hadn't worn my 70's inspired vest in a while so I thought I would take it out for a spin (check out the back of my vest...too cool hehe). . .So I paired it with some cigarette jeans and called it a day :)

Question: Again, I'm wearing my new favorite shoes, but I am unsure as to what to call them... gladiators or bandage style sandals? I mean, it really does not matter too much, but I've been wondering hehe

Ombre

Here is what I wore today in the sweltering heat (wore the sweater at work when it got cold). Nothing ground-breaking... just a tank and shorts.

O yeah, and my sandals that I have been waiting for came in the mail today, so I wore them! YAY

Summer Inspiration Part II

^An substantially upgraded version of Amy Winehouse. I like... I like.

Yeah, sure this model's underwear is totally hanging out... but there is something I find so stylish about this outfit. She low-rides like a pro...
Here are a few pictures and outfits that I simply adore... maybe it can inspire me to wear something other than a tank and sweatpants. It's incredibly hot here and lately I am in a clothing funk. Bounce back Nikki...

Romp[er] Roast

(Jean Jacket, Gap. Romper, F21. Wedges, American Eagle (I know?!). Clutch, Vintage.)

(Shoes, American Eagle. Peace Sign Mood Ring, Lucky Brand. Vine Ring, Gift.)

Oh yes. I have found my summer romper and wore it on a beautiful rainy day. Have I ever mentioned that I love love love the rain. All week long we have a had a mid-day shower and I have enjoyed every moment of it.

Oh and I dont know if you have noticed but my faux bob is no longer faux... it is quite actual. I cut 4 inches off last friday! It is so easy... I wake up and I go. I should have cut it like this ages ago...
Better late than ever

Waiting- The Like

I ordered this leather buckle sandal from Urbanoutfitters.com about 20 minutes ago... and I can't wait to hold it in my hands! So I Sit Here Waiting... (such a good song)

But for these new gladiator-like sandals, I return back to the universe this pair from Kohls.I wanted something a bit different, less standard... more unique I suppose. So that when the gladiator trend dies (and like most trends, it will)I hope that my sandal may remain immortal to me. :P

Into the Bush

I have never heard of L.A. designer Jesse Kamm, but I'm glad I have become acquainted with Fall 2008 collection. Every peice of the collection is quite stunning in a downtown-chic kind of way. My words cannot adequately describe how splendidly wonderful her line truly is. The video below highlights her hard work.
Trust me when I say, spend two minutes of your day watching this video:
You Want to Look at her Collection!

'V' Stands for Vintage

Today was the craziest shopping day ever and I'm not just talking about how many people were out and about taking advantage of the July 4th sales. Yet I will not bore you with the details or even the story at all hahha. All I know is that I bought 2 adorable items that I can hopefully wear as soon as possible. I was ready and had the funds to shop until I dropped, but due the craziness that occured today... I wasn't able.

Anywho, this is what I wore today. Oh and I don't know if you noticed, but I tucked my hair under to create a faux bob like the one from this WhoWhatWearDaily post.

(Cardigan, Vintage. T-shirt, Hanes. Belt, Vintage. Skirt, Gianni Bini. Sandals, Nordstrom. Clutch, Vintage. Necklace, Urbanoutfitters.)

(Forever 21)

I almost bought these today... 'almost' being the operative word. Now I regret it.
